Manzana About

History

Manzana Nules was founded in 1963 as a family business in Nules, Spain — the heart of a legendary citrus region and birthplace of varieties like Clemenules and Oronul. It began with a grower's frustration: Ramón Manzana, finding that the harvesting shears available to him simply weren't good enough, decided to forge his own. From that first pair of scissors, a single principle became the axis of everything the company would build — that the quality of the cut protects the quality of the fruit.

Over six decades, that obsession grew into a full range of professional harvesting tools — from its iconic M87 clipper, patented in 1987, to specialized shears for apples, avocados, persimmons, and garlic, alongside pruning saws, girdling tools, and the modern Smart Harvest line. Now led by the second generation of the Manzana family, the company still designs every tool around one promise: durability, a clean cut, and a design that safeguards the fruit from branch to crate.

Our Products

Our tools are crafted in Nules, Spain, and we take pride in manufacturing harvesting clippers and shears that protect the fruit as much as they cut it. Every tool combines durability, a clean cut, and a design that guards the harvested fruit from damage — because a harvest is only as valuable as the fruit that reaches the crate intact.

This focus on the final quality of the fruit is what sets a Manzana clipper apart. We invest in research and design so each tool delivers a benefit beyond what ordinary shears offer — comfort for the picker, speed for the operation, and protection for the grower's yield.

Global Distribution

Manzana Nules tools are used by professional harvesting crews across the world's growing regions. From the citrus groves of the Mediterranean to orchards in the Americas, Africa, and Australia, growers rely on our clippers to bring in a cleaner, higher-value harvest.

We are not structured to mass-produce lower-quality tools to compete on price alone. Because of this, Manzana products reach the market through distributors who share our standard — professionals who understand that the right clipper protects both the fruit and the grower's bottom line.
